Even though it’s hard to imagine flowers blooming anytime soon, the Jewish new year for trees is just around the corner. Tu B’Shvat is the perfect time to celebrate growing. Because kids, just like trees, grow bigger and stronger every day.
The best way to stay strong and healthy is to take care of our bodies and souls. That’s why at this year’s Central Mass Chabad’s Tu B’Shvat CKids Club, on Sunday, Feb. 9, kids will enter the Health Bar and become Cooking Chemists, to find out what nature, fruit, and the environment can teach us about living well.
Kids won’t keep their new skills to themselves. Experimenting with all types of nutritious yummies, they will create their own delicious health bars to take home—complete with a custom label and recipe card. The same healthy recipe can be made again and again in your own kitchen.
Next up at the CKids Club is the Taste Buds Game Show. They will use their tasting abilities and powers of description to work with teammates and guess the names of different Tu B’Shvat flavors. Each round will end off with a trivia challenge, testing their newfound knowledge.
The Tu B’Shvat Health Bar will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m., right after Hebrew school, at Chabad, 22 Newton Ave. Sign up at (508) 579-1852
