Bringing Israel to Life

The World Jewish Congress and Israeli Consulate in New York has awarded a $10,000 grant to UMass Amherst student Stephanie Margolis for her entry in the 5th annual Campus Pitch Competition to bring Israel to life. Margolis’ project, The Israel Connection, asks students to submit images of a place or experience in Israel along with a curated paragraph explaining its context, to be added to a six-foot black and white felt cube. When filled, the cube will be transformed from black and white to a gallery of Israel, in living color.
