Beatrice Kalin Rosenbloom, of Longmeadow, died March 8 at Glenmeadow surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Dexter Rosenbloom. Born in Springfield, on January 17, 1925, she was the daughter of Samuel Kalin and Mary (Sherman) Kalin Heller. She graduated from Searles High School in Great Barrington, then moved to Springfield where she worked as the bookkeeper at the Apremont Bowling Lanes. She was active for many years in the UJA, Springfield Jewish Federation, Hadassah, the Temple Beth El Sisterhood, and other charitable organizations, holding leadership positions as a volunteer. She later joined the staff of the Springfield Jewish Federation. She was a strong supporter of the State of Israel all her life. She is survived by a brother, Morton Kalin; three children, Ben Rosenbloom (Debbie), Shelly Stream, and Betsy Rosenbloom (Jamie Sigler); and six grandchildren, Jenna, Adam, Eleanor, Jane, Susanna, and Jessie. She was predeceased by two brothers, Harry and Louis Kalin.
