BLOOME

Norma L. Bloome, 90, of Springfield, died April 24. She was the widow of Bernard Bloome. Born in Pittsfield, she was a 1947 graduate of the former technical high school in Springfield and the former Putnam vocational nursing program where she earned her L.P.N diploma in 1976. She was a nurse at the Wesson Memorial Hospital form 1976-1992. Prior to becoming a nurse, Norma was employed at the Cromwell Mill as a clothing designer. She was a past president of the Springfield Guild of Craftsmen. She won numerous awards for her specialty enameling on copper, including 15 ribbons for her work including five first place awards at the Springfield JCC Gurvitch Art Show. She was a past member of Kesser Israel. She is survived by a son, Herschel.
