Eleanor Susan (Kaplan) Garber, 81, of Uxbridge, formerly of Sturbridge, died May 7 at Milford Hospital after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Garber. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth “Betty” (Golub) Kaplan. She attended Classical High School, graduating from Commerce High School in 1957. She owned and operated Auburn Load Service for ten years. She was a member of the Beth Torah Sisterhood in Holliston. She is survived by five children, Cynthia (Marc) Shulman, David Garber, Sandra (Ray) Crowther, Harriet Garber, and Rhonda (Adam) Miller; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Mitchell, Elizabeth, Emily, Joshua, Avery, and Matthew; three siblings, Arthur (Rhoda) Kaplan, Diane (Dan) Boski, and Paul (JoAn) Kaplan; and eight nieces and nephews. She predeceased by a sister, Carole Fuchs.
