Cara Lee (Lesser) Goldfader, 78, formerly of Worcester, died July 28, 2020, at her home in Laguna Woods, Calif. She was the widow of Sidney Goldfader. Born in Dorchester, she was the daughter of Louis and Rebecca (Drazin) Lesser. She Brookline High School, then completed her studies at Brandeis University receiving her BA degree in History. She graduated in 1965 from Beth Israel School of Nursing in Boston. She and her husband raised their family in his native hometown of Worcester. She completed her career as director of nurses for a long term care facility in central Massachusetts in 1997, and moved to Southern California to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a brother, Eliyu Lesser and his wife, Maxine, of Deland, Fla.; a daughter, Rebecca Goldfader of San Francisco, Calif.; two sons, Michael Goldfader and his wife, Susan, of Los Angeles, Calif, and Louis Noah Goldfader of Richardson, Tex.; three grandchildren, Brooke and Sloane Goldfader of Los Angeles, Calif., and Sidney Goldfader-Dufty of San Francisco, Calif.; Bevan Dufty, her grandson Sidney’s father; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Naomi Debba Lesser.
