Robert S. Friedman, 84, of Longmeadow, died Jan. 2 at Baystate Medical Center. He was the husband of Rosalind (Miller) Friedman. Born in Worcester, he was a graduate of Classical High School. He served two years in the Army from 1946-1948, mostly in Los Alamos, NM with their Motor Patrol Unit. He then graduated from the New England School of Accounting. He was employed for 33 years by Friendly’s Ice Cream and was a Division Manager. He was a member of Temple Beth El, The Jewish War Veterans Post 32 of Worcester, and B’nai Brith. In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his daughters, Marjie (Dr. Abe) Rogozinski of Jacksonville, Fla., and Elizabeth (Andy) Rubin of Madison, Conn; a daughter-in-law, Donna Friedman of Longmeadow; a brother, David Friedman of Maryland; and seven grandchildren, Ben and his wife Kaleigh, Josh and his fiancée Jodi, Laura, Zach, Nathan, Noah, and Aaron.
