NORTHAMPTON – Lander-Grinspoon Academy is presenting an Exploring Shabbat Series. Participants can attend for one or more programs to learn how to design a Shabbat experience that works for their home and family. The workshops will be held on 1/31, 2/12, 2/27, and 3/7 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at LGA, 257 Prospect St., in Northampton. The programs are for adults only:
Jan. 31 – Challah Making 101
Challah is a central component of every Shabbat celebration. Come together with other parents and learn how to make this delicious recipe and build it into your weekly Shabbat ritual.
Feb. 12 – Creative Shabbat Rituals
Parents are invited to come together with Rabbi Riqi Kosovske of Beit Ahavah to learn creative ways to make Shabbat a welcoming and fun addition to any family’s weekly schedule.
Feb. 27 – Making Time for Shabbat
How do you make time to celebrate Shabbat with so much going on already? Join other parents for an open conversation about making time for Shabbat in your family.
March 7 – A Look at Erotic Shabbat Texts
Rabbi Justin David will lead this adult conversation about all the “sexy” writing about Shabbat, such as Song of Songs and other texts. Come explore a side of Shabbat you may not know about!
