NORTHAMPTON – Gail Lansky has been named director of admissions and marketing at Lander-Grinspoon Academy in Northampton.
Lansky comes to LGA from the Amherst Cinema where, as the outreach and development director, she was responsible for fundraising, growing membership, managing communications and marketing, and helping to organize and launch the See-Hear-Feel-Film visual literacy program for third graders that’s now in its third year.
Previously, Lansky was the director of LGA Discovery Camp, the first-ever day camp at the school. She also served as national director for B’nai Tzedek, the youth philanthropy program that was created at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, and as Visitors Center director at the Yiddish Book Center, an organization founded and run by her husband, Aaron.
She currently serves on the board of firectors at Hillel at the University of Massachusetts where she is secretary, and is also involved in committee work at the Amherst Survival Center. She and her husband live in Amherst and have two daughters, Sasha and Chava, who are both in college.
