An Outpouring of Support on Super Sunday in Western Mass.

super sunday hillelWESTERN MASS. – March 2 and 9 saw a fabulous outpouring of donor and volunteer support at the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts’ four Super Sunday calling sessions.
The calling sessions were held at the Springfield JCC, Lander-Grinspoon Academy
in Northampton and UMass Hillel in Amherst.
Nearly 100 people volunteered between all of the sessions to reach out to members of the community to support the Federation annual campaign. Hundreds of people donated, generating $75,000 for the 2014 Federation Annual campaign. The goal is to raise $1.6 million in 2014.
super sunday 3Super Sunday chairs Yana and Jeremy Powers, along with campaign chair Susan Goldman, spearheaded this effort.
Added to the Super Sunday program this year was a PJ Library program for families that shared a message of giving as well as a mitzvah project for teens. Dog blankets and animal toys were made and distributed to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society.
