The installation will be done by Rabbi Mark Greenspan, the senior rabbi at Rabbi Fellman’s previous congregation, Oceanside Jewish Center in Oceanside, N.Y.

Speakers will also include Beth Israel President Debra Fins, and the presidents of the temple’s Sisterhood, Brotherhood, and USY. The installation will be followed by a brunch in the temple’s social hall. Karolyn and Manouch Darvish and Liz and Joel Baker are co-chairing the event.

Rabbi Fellman has been with Congregation Beth Israel since last summer. Before arriving in Worcester, she served as the associate rabbi and director of Congregational Educational and Jewish Learning at the Oceanside Jewish Center. She was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary and also holds a master’s degree from Machon Schechter in Jerusalem.

“Rabbi Fellman has brought a new energy and enthusiasm to the children, teens and adults at our synagogue and the greater community,” said Liz Baker. “She is bright, inspiring, and always looking for ways to challenge us. We are delighted to welcome Rabbi Fellman, her husband, Ari, and their children Hadar and Idan to Congregation Beth Israel. The future for our congregation is bright!”
