William (“Bill”) Goldman, 84, of Springfield, died surrounded by his family on July 10. He was the husband of Leah (Prudins) Goldman for 61 years. Born in Springfield, he was the son of Saul and Bessie (Miller) Goldman. He was a graduate of Classical High School and the former Hamden College of Pharmacy. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a pharmacist for over 50 years. He was a member of the Independent City of Homes Association, Congregation B’nai Torah, and the Freedman Post 26 of Jewish War Veterans. He was a volunteer at both the Leeds Veterans Hospital and the Jewish Nursing Home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Judith (David) Weinberg, Mark (Lisa), and Sharon; grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Riviello, Adam (Eileen) Weinberg, Marissa, Saul, Ethan, Jesse, Aaron, Tzofiya, and Jacob Goldman; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Sammy, Ashira, Max, and Sadie; and a sister, Ruth Mackler.
