PITTSFIELD – Berkshire Hills Hadassah will hold its 78th annual donor brunch on Oct. 18 at 11 a.m at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsfield. This year Hadassah will honor Helene and Larry Berke for their dedication and steadfast support to Hadassah. For the past 32 years, the Berkes have contributed their time, resources and leadership to Hadassah causes, profoundly affecting the quality of Berkshire Jewish life.
Dedicated in 2012, the soaring Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower was Hadassah’s gift to the people of Israel on the occasion of its centennial. Recognized throughout the world as a leading teaching, research and in-patient facility, the hospital has healing gardens, 500 innovative patient rooms and 20 state-of-the-art below ground operating rooms, fortified against any type of attack. Berkshire Hills Hadassah hopes to equip and furnish these rooms, as our gift to the Israeli people and help the hospital fulfill its mission to serve all patients throughout the Middle East. The entire Berkshire community is invited to share an afternoon of joy and giving.
