Tilia Jacobs to speak at TBE Shabbat Service

SPRINGFIELD – Tilia Klebenov Jacobs, an award-winning local author, will speak at Temple Beth El’s Shabbat evening service on Friday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m.

Jacobs uses fiction to create Jewish characters and explore Jewish themes. Her first book, Wrong Place, Wrong Time, won the Beverly Hills Book Award for Best Thriller. “I wrote Wrong Place, Wrong Time partly because I wanted to create a Jewish woman as the main character in a thriller,” Jacobs said. “And I wanted her to be a smart, funny, tough Jewish woman who might conceivably live next door to me.”

Her newest book, Second Helpings at the Serve You Right Café, has garnered extraordinary critical acclaim: it was ranked in the top 10% of the Amazon Kindle store by reader reviews, and was spotlighted in IndieReader’s “Best of Summer Reads.” Kirkus featured it in Kirkus Reviews, and most recently it won Honorable Mention in the London Book Festival.
