AMHERST – Donna Baron has been named director of advancement at UMass Hillel. She came to Hillel from the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, where she brought together diverse groups of stakeholders and funders to collaborate on complex technology projects at the intersection of higher education, government and private industry.
“We are very happy to have Donna join our team as a senior staff member. I am confident that her skills, depth of work experience and connections in the Five College area will be great assets to UMass Hillel. I look forward to working with her and I am excited about Hillel’s future,” said Rabbi Aaron Fine, executive director of UMass Hillel.
Baron has lived and worked in the Pioneer Valley for the past 16 years.
“I am excited to be working with Rabbi Fine, the dedicated Hillel staff and the enthusiastic students in this warm and vibrant community. I look forward to strengthening our donor base and growing the incredible array of programming and opportunities for students at UMass Hillel,” Baron said.
She lives in Amherst with her husband Steven Silvern and their son Nathan.
