Israel Bonds to honor Western Mass. Congregational Leaders

AGAWAM – Development Corporation for Israel/Israel Bonds will honor Western Massachusetts congregational leaders at its annual dinner on Wednesday, June 14 at 6 p.m. , at Chez Josef, 176 Shoemaker Lane. Co-chairs of the event are Sharon Cohen and Joan and Michael Rosner.

The honorees will receive the Star of David award, given to those who, in the sprit of King David, have demonstrated a devotion to the land and people of Israel through exceptional leadership and dedication. This year’s honorees are: Corrie Trattner, Congregation B’nai Israel; Paulette and Ausher Kofsky, Congregation B’nai Torah; Joe Morse, Congregation Rodphey Sholom; Cindy and Kenneth Vieu, Congregation Sons of Zion; Jodi and Buff Maniscalco, Sinai Temple; and Sue Polansky, Temple Beth El.

Larry Weinberg, a communications and branding expert who has played a key role in the efforts to improve Israel’s brand and image in the U.S. and who created the original marketing campaign for Birthright Israel, will be the guest speaker.
