Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and terror victims, is a time of mourning and reflection over the sacrifices of thousands who have given their lives for the Jewish homeland leading up to and following statehood.

Sixty Israelis were added to the list since last year’s Yom Hazikaron. The number of people murdered in terrorist attacks in Israel since the state’s inception stands at 3,117, according to the Israel National Insurance Institute.
