Hadassah Donor Event to Focus on Advocacy

WEST BOYLSTON – Emmy-winning reporter and best-selling author Hank Phillippi Ryan will be the featured speaker at the Greater Worcester Chapter of Hadassah’s 85th annual donor luncheon on Sunday, April 22 at The Manor banquet facility in West Boylston.

Ryan will discuss how she has mixed the worlds of fact and fiction in her careers as an investigative journalist, consumer advocate, and best-selling author of fiction, all while juggling her roles as wife and grandmother. Her novels have been named Library Journal Best Thrillers of 2014 and 2015. Her newest, Say No More, is an Agatha, Daphne and Mary Higgins Clark Award nominee and a Library Journal Best Thriller of 2016.

Sue Polansky of Longmeadow, Hadassah’s National Zionist Affairs Team Leader, will also speak about how to become an effective advocate.

The cost of the event is $60 per member, $45 for guests, and includes a plated luncheon. Proceeds from the event will support Hadassah’s life-saving medical and child rescue work in Israel.
