Harry B. Wolfe, 95, died July 17 surrounded by family at Loomis Village in South Hadley. He was the widower of Lillian Samel. Born in Pittsfield, he joined the military after high school and liked it so much he stayed for 20 years. While serving, he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross on a strategic mission over the Soviet Union. After retiring from the Air Force, he taught science at South Hadley High School for another 20 years. He was active in his community and synagogue. He is survived by three daughters and their husbands,  Sharon and Peter Markey, Robin and Norman Robinson, and Anne and Scott Daniels; four grandchildren, Rachel (Chris) Walzl, Jeff (Annabelle) Markey, Amanda Markey and Matthew Daniels; two great-grandsons, Nolan and Mason Walzl; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Epstein and Rosemarie Wolfe; and his very dear friend Marion Poliakoff. He was predeceased by four siblings, Irving, Edward, Helen, and Marty.
