Mitch Kupperman has been named director of development at the Springfield Jewish Community Center. Kupperman’s professional background includes positions as a mentor at the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, educational director at Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy, president at Northeast Learning Centers and executive vice president of Human Resources at Dairy Mart Convenience Stores.
“We’re excited to have someone of Mitch’s caliber join our team,” said Michael Paysnick, executive director of the J. “He has been a friend of the J for a long time with his children, and now grandchildren, being active participants. Mitch’s extensive experience in strategic planning, leadership and fund development will surely make a positive impact as the J moves to professionalize its development department.”
Kupperman holds a Ph.D. in education administration from the University of Connecticut, a master’s degree in administration and supervision from Montclair University, a master’s degree in guidance and psychological services from Springfield College, and a bachelor of arts in professional studies from State University College of New York.
