Dr. Milton Dalitzky of Wellington, Fla., formerly of Longmeadow, died Jan 10. He was the husband of Martha (Okun) Dalitzky. Born in Springfield, he was the son of Solomon and Dora Dalitzky. He graduated from Classical High School and Springfield College, and then went on to study dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1944. Following an internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, he opened his first office on Bridge Street in Springfield, later moving to School Street and then to Dwight Road in Longmeadow. In his early years practicing dentistry, he served as the school dentist in Agawam. In 1976 he was recognized by the Academy of General Dentistry and awarded a Fellowship in the Academy, given to dentists in practice ten or more years who demonstrate exceptional interest in the advancement of the dental profession by 500 hours of postdoctoral studies. In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by a daughter, Nancy Master; a grandson, Eric Dalitzky; a daughter-in-law, Carol Dalitzky; and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Scott Dalitzky; a brother, Nathan; a brother-in-law, Harold Okun; and a son-in-law, Greg Master.
