Lorraine “Laurie” Bloomberg, 96, of Longmeadow, died May 11 from complications from a fall. She was the wife of Leo Bloomberg. Born in Chicago and raised in southern California, she lived all over the country, moving to Longmeadow seven years ago. She was trained as a bookkeeper. An artist, she worked in clay, oil paints, soapstone, bronze, stained glass, sculpey and water colors. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Beverly and her husband, Tom; two granddaughters, Eloise and Annie; a grandson, Matthew his fiance, Deanne, and his father, Bradley; a sister, Sue; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Lynn and Sally. Memorial contributions may be made to Ruth’s House Employee Assistance Fund, 770 Converse St., Longmeadow, MA 01106.
