Hadassah Cookbook Event on Jan. 6

The Greater Springfield, Greater Worcester and Rhode Island chapters of Hadassah will present “Our Cookbooks, Our Memories” a virtual Hadassah Donor Event on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m.

“Every Hadassah cookbook tells a story about the time and place in which it was written and gives insights into the dedicated women who created the book.” Speaking about the mission of Hadassah at the event will be Bonnie Lipton, Hadassah Past National President, who will share stories about Hadassah Medical Organization’s life saving mission and information about the redesign of the iconic Round Building in Ein Kerem; and Melanie Meyers, curator of the Hadassah Archives at the American Jewish Society, talking about Jewish cookbooks and the stories they tell.

The goal of the donor event is to raise $18,000 to furnish and equip and single patient room in Hadassah’s redesigned Round Building. A copy of Hadassah Jewish Holiday Cookbook will go to the first person to donate “yeast” level or higher.
